Anadolu Efes Istanbul welcomed crosstown rival Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul for their first Euroleague meeting. The visitors were sharp early and led by 5 late in the first quarter, but Jayson Granger shined with 10 second-quarter points as the hosts took control and built a 36-27 halftime lead. Cedi Osman reeled off 5 points and a pair of blocks in a 12-0 third-quarter run as the lead reached 18. Ender Arslan heated up from downtown and sank back-to-back threes to start the fourth quarter and cut the deficit to 4, but Granger and co. quickly regained control and coasted to an 84-71 victory.

The game was back and forth throughout the first half; a 10-0 Fenerbahce run in the second quarter gave the home fans something to sheer about, but four Lokomotiv players hit threes in a 0-14 response. Unicaja trailed most of the way but managed to keep all of its options alive behind an outstanding performance from Jamar Smith, who had 12 points.
