Reigning champion Real Madrid’s nightmares in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague continued by losing at home to Khimki Moscow Region 82-85 to drop to 2-4. Tyrese Rice paced Khimki with 18 points and a career-high eight assists as the Eurocup champions moved to 4-2 in Group A with Alexey Shved adding 13 points including two free throws with 20 seconds to play. Madrid lost despite 17 points from Sergio Rodriguez while Gustavo Ayon had 14 points and 15 rebounds. After nine lead changes in the first quarter, Khimki was able to open a 10-point lead in the second quarter at 27-37. Madrid closed the intermission score to 42-44 and started the second half by taking the lead. Khimki never let Madrid reclaim the lead despite some close calls.
