Anadolu Efes Istanbul welcomed crosstown rival Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul for their first Euroleague meeting. The visitors were sharp early and led by 5 late in the first quarter, but Jayson Granger shined with 10 second-quarter points as the hosts took control and built a 36-27 halftime lead. Cedi Osman reeled off 5 points and a pair of blocks in a 12-0 third-quarter run as the lead reached 18. Ender Arslan heated up from downtown and sank back-to-back threes to start the fourth quarter and cut the deficit to 4, but Granger and co. quickly regained control and coasted to an 84-71 victory.

Unicaja trailed most of the way but managed to keep all of its options alive behind an outstanding performance from Jamar Smith, who had 12 points. Panathinaikos found its regular go-to guy in Dimitris Diamantidis, who had 17 points and a key assist to James Feldeine, who hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 11.4 seconds left. Olympiacos Piraues came up with a strong defensive performance to grab an important 76-82 road victory over Laboral Kuxta Vitoria Gasteiz in Group F of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Olympiacos held Laboral 19.2 points below its season average at home and received 19 points from Vassilis Spanoulis to improve to 2-0 in the Top 16. Othello Hunter added 17 points while Georgios Printezis chipped in 15 points for Olympiacos. Laboral dropped to 1-1 in the group despite Mike James scoring 16 points. In the third match-up between these teams this season – both sides won at home during the Regular Season - Olympiacos started well and went ahead 12-20 and was leading 18-24 after 10 minutes.
